WHAT IS ISOCYANATE?
Isocyanate is a raw material used in the production of all polyurethane materials. This raw material is petroleum sourced like other polyurethane products. There are two commonly used types, namely tdi (toluene di isocyanate) and mdi (diphenyl methane di isocyanate). The isocyanates used in the polyurethane sector are two types, aromatic isocyanate and aliphatic isocyanates. Isocyanates used in the isolation industry are generally aromatic isocyanates. Aromatic isocyanates are a raw material that has low UV resistance compared to aliphatic isocyanates, and is used mostly in the production of hard and flexible foam in the world.
There are two types of aromatic diisocyanates, toulene diisocyanate (tdi) and methylenediphenyl diisocyanate (mdi). These diisocyanates are used for making polyurethane foam, waterproofing, adhesive etc. It is used as a raw material in the manufacture of polyurethane products. The indispensable raw materials in the construction and industrial products are now leading the way. The diisocyanate used for insulation is MDI (methylenediphenyl diisocyanate). It is used in the production of hard foam, the isolation needs of people are met with the isolation products resulting from the use of this raw material. Along with different mixtures, these raw materials can be used with paint, adhesive, waterproofing products, etc. It is also possible to make various products. Mdi diisocyanates provide density and product mix with different mixtures. These can be collected in titles such as polymeric, modified, monomeric, etc. Polyurethane foams, polyurethane buildings, adhesives, different thermal insulation products, polyurea floor coverings, all kinds of elastomer products are only a few of them.
